Your Growth in Our Shared Mission
We actively collaborate with students in relevant fields: geologists, glaciologists, geomorphologists, hydrologists, engineering and technical specialists, mathematical modelers, mechanics and modeling experts, as well as web marketers and other related professional tracks.
We are open to discussing various forms of collaboration: academic and industrial internships, traineeships, research projects, graduation projects, and applied case studies within our ongoing projects. We are ready to jointly determine a convenient format of participation, tasks, timelines, and expected outcomes to ensure the work is beneficial for both the students and our team.
List of Priority Tasks
- Development of a model (incorporating field test data) to calculate rockfall parameters (fall trajectories, impact force, interaction of a falling rock with an obstacle, assessment of input data accuracy thresholds, etc.).
- Improvement of the methodology for calculating the pull-out load-bearing capacity of soil anchors, development of a universal calculation model, conducting field pull-out tests on anchors in representative soil types, and creation of databases.
- Development of new and improvement of existing engineering protection structures against hazardous geological processes.
- Development and improvement of machines for weaving steel nets from high-strength wire rope.
- Development of a spatial model for calculating loads on snow-retaining structures based on field data and tests, improvement of the structures themselves, and exploration of new materials to reduce structural weight.
- Modeling of the statics and dynamics of shell structures.
- Development of new architectural solutions using high-strength steel nets.
